Protocol Education have an excellent opportunity for a Behavioural Support Assistant to join a Specialist School supporting young people who have been disengaged from mainstream education. This can be on a part time or full-time basis dependant on your availability.

Based in Sheffield, this school caters to children with severe social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Most children attending the school have behavioural difficulties and association disorders which have caused problems in mainstream schools. Each member of staff within this school has a genuine passion to help students better themselves and aim to provide an equal chance of success outside of education.

You will be rewarded daily by seeing the progression of your students not only in school, but personally too. You will work amongst a dedicated team who help follow the school’s ethos in order to provide impeccable care in the provision. With no day being the same, you will use your high expectations of learning and caring for students, to develop both personally and professionally while acting as a role model for students.

Building rapports will be essential for this role as it is likely you could work 1:1 with students. You must be able to engage individuals while taking on a fun, reliable approach.

Training in Team Teach is not essential but highly desired to be successful in this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
