Behaviour Support Specialist – SEMH School | Shrewsbury

Looking for a role where you can make a real impact from day one?

A forward-thinking SEMH school near Shrewsbury is searching for a Behaviour Support Specialist to join their dedicated team this September. With a recent ‘Good’ Ofsted under their belt and a clear focus on honesty, respect, and trust, this school creates a safe and structured space where every child can thrive.

This isn’t just a support role. You’ll be helping students manage emotions, build resilience, and re-engage with learning—often after tough starts. If you’re calm under pressure, confident with behaviour strategies, and driven to help young people succeed, this could be the one.

What you’ll want to know:

  • Location: Shrewsbury (easy reach from Telford, Market Drayton, Oswestry)

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

  • Start date: ASAP

  • Qualifications: Team Teach, de-escalation training or SEND certifications are a real plus

Who we’re looking for:

  • Someone with experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs

  • A clear communicator who can build trust quickly

  • Confident using behaviour management strategies that really work

  • Knowledgeable about SEND and trauma-informed support

And in return:

  • Birthday leave

  • On-site parking

  • Fully funded, accredited training—both in-house and external

  • A place where your input matters and your work is genuinely valued
