Full-Time Autism Support Worker – Whetstone

Helping young minds shine – one breakthrough at a time.

Are you the calm in the chaos, the cheerleader in the classroom, and the smile that makes a difference? We’re on the lookout for a kind-hearted, can-do support worker to join a fantastic special needs primary school in Whetstone.

You’ll be working full-time, supporting children with autism to thrive in a warm, inclusive environment where every small win is a big deal.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism.

  • Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to create a safe, structured and joyful learning environment.

  • Helping children develop communication, social and emotional skills — and celebrating every step they take.

  • Bringing positivity, patience and practical strategies to your role, every single day.

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with experience supporting children with SEND, especially autism (school-based experience is a plus).

  • A nurturing, flexible approach and a genuine belief in every child’s potential.

  • A great communicator who works well with pupils, staff, and parents alike.

  • Someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and make a difference — rain or shine.

Why join us?

  • A supportive school community that values your voice and ideas.

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities — grow your skills while you change lives.

  • Competitive pay, termly check ins, and a dedicated consultant who’s always on hand to help.
