A well-regarded school in Shropshire is looking for a dedicated Attendance Officer to join their team from September. This is a key pastoral and administrative role, focused on improving student attendance and supporting the wider wellbeing of the school community.

As Attendance Officer, you'll be at the heart of the school’s efforts to ensure pupils attend regularly, feel supported, and are ready to succeed. You’ll work closely with families, staff, and external services to promote good habits, track attendance data, and provide a welcoming point of contact for attendance queries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage student attendance records

  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupil attendance

  • Support staff in implementing attendance strategies

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with school policy

  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail

  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
