Job Title: Art Teacher (Secondary)

Salary: £150–£210 per day (PAYE – no umbrella deductions)

We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Middlesbrough looking for an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their team this September. You’ll be teaching KS3 and KS4, nurturing students’ creative confidence, and preparing GCSE learners for success.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering engaging Art lessons to students aged 11–16
- Encouraging experimentation across media—painting, drawing, sculpture, digital
- Supporting GCSE coursework and assessment prep
- Creating an inclusive, inspiring classroom space
- Collaborating with the wider faculty and contributing to the creative culture of the school
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Art at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
- A strong subject knowledge and creative flair
- A calm, student-led approach with high expectations
- Someone who can celebrate individual expression and keep lessons purposeful

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
