Admin Assistant – Birtley

We’re looking for a skilled and organised Admin Assistant to join a busy school office in Birtley. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a well-regarded school community with the smooth running of daily operations.

The Role:

As the Admin Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors. You’ll provide efficient administrative support across the school, ensuring processes run smoothly and information is managed effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the school’s front office and reception duties

  • Handling calls, emails, and enquiries in a professional manner

  • Supporting safeguarding and attendance administration

  • Maintaining accurate records and databases

  • Assisting senior leaders with correspondence and reports

  • Providing general office support as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a school setting

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems (SIMS experience desirable but not essential)

  • A positive, proactive approach with the ability to multitask

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
