About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated EYFS 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individualized support to a student within a primary school setting in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting a child’s academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a specific Early Years student one-to-one both in the classroom and during other activities.

  • Work closely with the teacher to help plan and deliver lessons that meet the student’s needs.

  • Help the student build confidence, independence, and skills both academically and socially.

  • Create a friendly and supportive learning environment for the student.

  • Adjust teaching methods and materials to fit the way the student learns best.

  • Help track the student’s progress and share feedback with the teacher and parents.

  • Build good relationships with the student, school staff, and parents, keeping communication open.

  • Follow the school’s rules, values, and procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Support Teaching or Learning (or equivalent).

  • Experience working one-to-one with children, preferably in a school setting.

  • Understanding and caring about the individual needs of Early Years children.

  • Good communication skills to work well with the student, teachers, and parents.

  • Patience and the ability to offer emotional support when needed.

  • Flexible and able to change teaching methods to suit the student’s needs.

  • Knowledge of teaching tools and methods to support individual learning.

  • Qualifications related to education or teaching assistant roles are a plus but not essential.
