Some pupils just need that one person in their corner. Could that be you?
We’re looking for a kind, consistent, and skilled Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in a Newcastle secondary school.

This is about more than learning—it’s about building trust, offering reassurance, and giving students the tools to thrive in their own way.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Supporting a named pupil in lessons, following their EHCP

  • Adapting tasks to meet learning needs

  • Encouraging engagement and building confidence

  • Liaising with the SENCO and class teacher to track progress

Why this role matters:
✅ Pupils with EHCPs get tailored support—you make that happen
✅ Relationships are everything—and you’ll be a key one
✅ You’ll help make school feel safer, calmer, and more accessible
✅ It's deeply rewarding work with real impact

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting students with additional needs

  • Is calm, patient, and empathetic

  • Understands EHCPs and how to put them into practice

  • Can support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation

Protocol Education benefits:

  • Weekly pay through PAYE (no umbrella deductions)

  • FREE CPD, including SEND and EHCP training

  • A friendly, local consultant who gets what SEN support looks like

  • Long-term placements in schools where support staff are truly valued

  • Fast-track registration and personal guidance
