We’re looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a secondary school pupil in North Bristol. You’ll be helping a young person with additional needs feel safe, understood, and supported so they can make progress not just academically, but emotionally too.

What the role involves:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support in and out of class

  • Helping the pupil with emotional regulation, communication, and classroom tasks

  • Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and parents

  • Creating a safe, structured, and encouraging environment every day

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (autism, ADHD, SEMH, etc.)

  • A calm, patient approach and excellent communication skills

  • Someone who can set clear boundaries while building real trust

  • Thrive trained? Brilliant. If not—we’ll cover that for free!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
