Well, look no further! We are looking for an experienced special needs Learning Support Assistant for various primary schools in Romford. We need someone who is comfortable with and experienced in working with a variety of SEN needs.

Job Duties:
• Support: Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in a classroom setting
• Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for students’ needs
• Use effective approaches: Monitor and supervise students during class activities, helping them understand instructions and tasks
• Manage challenging behaviour: De-escalate where needed, using positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques
• Nurture positive relationships: Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals, while also maintaining detailed records of progress
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive environment: Help children integrate smoothly into school life

Requirements:
• Right to work in the UK
• Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one ️
• Prior experience working with students with special educational needs
• Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods when needed
• Patience and empathy when working with students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
