Protocol Education Win Investors in People Silver Award for Strong Culture of Professional Support

Protocol Education is proud to announce that we have been awarded Investors in People’s Silver ‘We invest in people’ award.

This organisation-wide accreditation recognises Protocol Education’s dedication to cultivating the people who carry out our mission of raising educational outcomes for children across the country.

We believe that the work we do means something. It means something for the thousands of schools we help staff and the educators for whom we find work. And it should also mean something for the 150 employees of Protocol Education.

Investors in People’s full report paid tribute to the ‘passion and pride’ our staff feel about working here. Our learning and development team won praise for an ‘impressive commitment to developing people’ through structured training programmes and leadership development opportunities.

The Silver award speaks to the power of Protocol Education’s internal processes to bring about huge leaps in our consultants’ careers. In interviews and testimonies submitted as part of the accreditation process, our employees attested to the ‘invaluable experience’ that working here has provided them, and the support the company provides its individual staffers to ‘put your own mark on things’.

Our strong ethos of professional development is just one of the ways that we nurture our people. Throughout the past two years’ adversities, Protocol Education has strived to implement a culture of holistic support across our teams built on close communication and dialogue. Employees surveyed were keen to talk about the company’s ‘focus on looking after us as people’ during the pandemic, with strong levels of trust in leadership reported across the board.

Protocol Education’s success depends on close-knit teams of recruitment consultants who have a sincere belief in what they do. Investors in People remarked on the networks of motivation and engagement within our branch structures, and the efforts of managers to get the best out of their teams.

Silver is a fantastic achievement, putting Protocol Education in the top tier of our sector. We would like to congratulate all our staff members, from our operations leads to our branch managers to our consultants, for making excellence a habit.

Commenting on the award, Associate Director Greg Bookman said: “As a recruitment business, we believe that the success begins and ends with how we treat people. That is as true for our employees as it is for the thousands of teachers, teaching assistants and school leaders who work with us each week. If we make work better for everyone within Protocol Education, we make work better for everyone we work with. And as we work in education, that has important ramifications for society as a whole.”

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Protocol Education. Silver accreditation on ‘We invest in people’ is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Protocol Education in good company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
