Protocol Education Christmas Survey Results

About over 4 years ago By Scott Owen

The results are in. We asked the Protocol Education nation the questions that matter this Christmas time, and you answered. It is time to get under the skin of what people really want for Christmas!

What Makes the Perfect Christmas?

We asked a number of questions about the perfect Christmas, and although the were some division, there were some clear winners too.

44% of you like to spend Christmas at home, with 36% preferring someone else doing the cooking and washing-up by spending it at a family or friends' homes.

Despite so many of you preferring Christmas at home (presumably in the UK for the most part) 45% wanted to spend Christmas somewhere hot.

One thing you were very clear on though was who to spend Christmas with. 80% wanted to spend it with family or family and close friends (with the obvious exceptions outlined earlier). This was reflected in the choice of atmosphere with 75% of respondents indicating they like to be with their family and friends giving thanks for another year. That sounds like a pretty good way to spend the holidays to us!

Yea or Sleigh?

In our lightening round we cleared up a few Christmas quandaries:

  • Re-gifting - Yea wins by a landslide

  • Snow - Yea wins by a snow-slide (?)

  • Artificial Trees - It was close, but the people said yea (they are wrong)

  • Sending Christmas Cards - another close call, but people said Yea

  • Brussels Sprouts - the people have spoken and they have said Yes
