The Governing Body of a primary school in Watford is seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Year 6 Class Teacher to join the school team.
This post offers an opportunity to teach in upper Key Stage 2 and to support pupils during a critical stage of their primary education as they prepare for transition to secondary school. The role is suitable for an experienced teacher or a confident Early Career Teacher with strong subject knowledge and high expectations for pupil achievement.
The successful candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Demonstrate secure knowledge and understanding of the KS2 curriculum, with particular reference to Year 6

Have high expectations of pupils’ attainment, progress, and behaviour

Plan and deliver high-quality teaching that meets the needs of all learners

Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and learning

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals

Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
