Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for Year 6 students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching primary school students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum for Year 6 students
  • Effective classroom management techniques
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a classroom setting within a primary school in Hornchurch, Greater London. Full-time hours are expected, and occasional participation in school events outside of regular hours may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
