Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons for Year 1 students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 1
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Proficient in using technology in the classroom

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment with young children. The teacher may need to adapt to different teaching styles and manage classroom behaviour effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
