We are currently recruiting people with transferable skills to be based within schools across Newcastle and North Tyneside.
Teaching assistants support students one-to-one or in small groups with their educational development. Due to the current cohort of secondary school students missing valuable time in the classroom due to Covid, teaching assistants are in high demand.
The nature of these roles are usually full time and schools typically book Teaching assistant on a term-to-term bases. We have great relationships with the schools we work with and have educators in the same school on a long-term agreement.
Role:
- Support Key stage 3 & 4 students with their academic development.
- Apply different approaches to learning which are personalised to each student.
- Interact with students, teachers, and parents.
- Engage within classroom activities.
- Observe behaviour.
Requirements
- Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
- Has personal and professional experience interacting with SEN individuals.
- Positive communication skills.
- Passionate for support the development of students.
- Sensitive and empathic individual.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
