We’re working with a welcoming secondary school that’s looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on individual to join their Food Technology department. No teaching qualification yet? No stress. If you’re confident leading a group, great with people, and happy to roll up your sleeves, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting students as they learn practical cooking skills

Helping with lesson preparation, from ingredients to equipment

Encouraging pupils to learn, experiment and enjoy the subject

Keeping lessons running safely and smoothly

Working closely with the Food Tech teacher and wider DT team
What the school is looking for

Someone who loves Food Tech and isn’t afraid of a busy classroom

A calm, friendly presence who can build quick rapport with students

Good organisation, good humour, and good communication

Experience working with young people is helpful but not essential

A willingness to learn on the job

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
