Protocol Education are working in Partnership with a SEND school based in the Henbury area. This school is a ‘Good’ School as rated recently by Ofsted.  The school is Part of a multi-Academy trust with multiple location country wide ranging from KS3 to KS5 curriculum.

The school is based in a unique educational setting with the emphasis on ‘Sustainability’, this means that the students have the responsibility to learn, grow and develop a working farm, allotment, and forest. As a school they have a trust ethos which enable student to take responsibility for there actions and be aloud the space to express them self within a safe environment.

We are currently looking for a creative, self-motivated, aspiring Teaching Assistant to join this amazing team and school.

• A patient, caring, compassionate and child-centred approach

• Experience of working with special educational needs in an educational setting

• Experience working with autism and attached related needs

• Excellent observation skills and the ability to problem solve and think creatively to enable our children and young people to reimagine their potential.

• Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in challenging situations

• Experience of working with class teachers

• An interest in and/or skills in working in an outdoor environment.

Teaching Assistants work closely with pupils, to support and facilitate their learning, progress, and wellbeing in a range of learning environments. During the school day pupils will learn through a dynamic curriculum which includes practical skills; textiles, green woodwork, and cooking with a significant period involved in growing biodynamic produce in the school gardens and looking after the farm animals.

Start Date: September

Requirements: Attend a Training Course during August 2023

Salary: £11.80 – £13.00 (Depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time (Due to the attachment need of the students)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
