UKS2 Intervention Teacher – Reading & Writing Focus
Location: Bradford
Salary: £130–£210 per day (PAYE – weekly pay)
Contract: Part-time, ongoing
Start Date: Immediate
We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate UKS2 Teacher to work with pupils in Years 5 and 6 who are currently working below age-related expectations. Your focus will be on raising attainment in reading and writing, helping pupils close the gap and gain the skills they need to thrive in secondary school.
The role:

Plan and deliver targeted reading and writing interventions for small groups and individuals

Break down learning into clear, manageable steps that build confidence

Use creative, engaging approaches to literacy that spark enjoyment as well as progress

Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to track progress

Prepare pupils for a successful transition to secondary school
What we’re looking for:

A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with strong UKS2 experience

A proven ability to support pupils working below age-related expectations
-
Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to learning

A passion for literacy and helping children develop essential life skills
-
Strong behaviour management and the ability to motivate learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
