What you’ll be doing as a Trainee Teaching Assistant

You’ll support pupils during lessons, help with classroom organisation and learn how to assist children with different abilities and needs. Staff will guide you through routines, expectations and strategies that help pupils thrive.

Your role day-to-day as a Trainee Teaching Assistant

  • Helping pupils understand tasks and stay engaged
  • Supporting teachers with resources, preparation and classroom management
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and participation
  • Offering reassurance and a friendly presence to pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff

You’ll be a great fit if you are

  • Interested in becoming a Teaching Assistant or going into education
  • Patient, warm and able to communicate clearly
  • Someone with experience working or volunteering with children
  • Eager to learn from experienced school staff
  • Able to obtain an enhanced DBS if needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
