We’re supporting a welcoming primary school with a specialist SEND provision, and they’re looking for someone friendly, patient and eager to learn. You don’t need classroom experience yet, just the right attitude, curiosity and a genuine desire to help children feel safe and confident at school.

This is a trainee role, so you’ll be supported every step of the way.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working alongside teachers and experienced TAs to support children with additional needs

  • Helping pupils in lessons, small groups and 1:1, depending on their needs

  • Learning how to use strategies that support communication, emotional regulation and behaviour

  • Building warm, trusting relationships with pupils who benefit from consistency

  • Taking part in training and gradually taking on more responsibility as you grow

Who this role is perfect for

  • People considering a future career in teaching, psychology, therapy or youth work

  • School leavers or graduates who want meaningful experience

  • Anyone patient, kind and ready to learn new skills

  • Those who enjoy being hands-on and making a difference every day

No school experience? Absolutely fine. We’ll help you build it.

What the school is looking for

  • A calm, encouraging and reliable person

  • Someone who communicates well and works well in a team

  • A willingness to learn about SEND and adapt to different needs

  • A positive, warm approach with children
