Trainee Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Peterlee / Easington)

Looking to start a career in education but not sure where to begin? This Trainee Teaching Assistant role offers the chance to learn on the job in a supportive, child-centred school environment.
This school believes in nurturing the whole child, emotionally, socially and academically. You’ll work alongside experienced staff, supporting pupils who need encouragement, structure and positive role models to help them feel safe and ready to learn.
Your role will include:
• Supporting pupils in class, small groups and occasionally 1:1
• Helping children stay engaged and regulated throughout the day
• Supporting learning activities planned by the teacher
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
• Building trusting relationships with pupils and staff
This role is ideal if you:
• Are considering a career in education or SEND
• Are patient, calm and willing to learn
• Enjoy working with children and young people
• Want hands-on experience in a school setting
No formal TA qualification required, just the right attitude and commitment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
