An exciting opportunity has arisen for any aspiring teaching assistant to join Protocol Education’s trainee teaching assistant programme.

As part of the programme you will work on a full time basis in a secondary school (Monday -Friday during term time). You will be earning £75-80 per day whilst being given access to accredited training.

This role involves closely working with Secondary school students, aged between 11-16 years who have special education needs and require additional support with their education in order to help students overcome the challenging barriers they may face and achieve their academic and personal objectives. You may be working within the classroom or within the schools large SEND unit. The children you will work with may have a range of SEND, including ASC, SEMH and physical disabilities. While previous experience of working with children is desirable, the school is also interested in applications from graduates with an interest in working in education. Additional training may be provided to support any teaching assistant working within the school.

Work will be available in schools across Tyne and Wear including Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
