Trainee SEND & Care Assistant – Sunderland/Peterlee

Pay: £89 to £110 per day
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term

If you’re caring, patient and curious about SEND or healthcare roles in schools, this trainee pathway is the perfect first step.

No prior SEND or medical experience required, just kindness, reliability and a willingness to learn. You’ll be supported by experienced staff every day.

What you’ll be doing:
• Assisting with personal care, feeding and mobility (full training given)
• Supporting sensory sessions and communication
• Helping pupils build confidence and independence
• Bringing warmth and reassurance to every interaction

What you need:
• A caring nature and a calm manner
• Open to training and continuous learning
• A real desire to support children with complex needs

• FREE CPD on autism, medical needs and sensory support
• Weekly pay and local placements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
