Are you a Graduate or soon to be graduate living in Hackney who is looking for experience in the classroom before becoming a teacher?

Our partner schools are looking for the next generation of inspirational teachers.

This role will give you the perfect insight into the role of a teaching assistant and what it takes to become a fully qualified teacher.

We are looking for motivated, reliable and resilient Teaching Assistants who are keen to make a difference on daily basis.

As part of your role, you will be working with children with additional needs including ASD, ADHD and MLD. 

For the best candidates, these roles can often lead to training oppurtunities.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the lead teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assisting with classroom management and student supervision
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties
  • Preparing and organising educational materials
  • Assessing student performance and providing feedback

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in Education or relevant field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with children and helping them achieve academic success

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant certification
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) students

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Classroom-based role with potential for outdoor activities
  • May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of educational materials
  • Working in schools local to Newham

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
