Are you a Graduate or soon to be graduate who is looking for experience in the classroom before becoming a teacher?

Protocol Education are currently working with several schools in Newham who are looking for motivated trainee TA's to join them in September 2024.

No prior experience is neccesary but the school are looking for outstanding graduates who have a passion for childcare and will go the extra mile to support the children in their school. 

As part of your role, you will be working with children with additional needs including ASD, ADHD and MLD. 

These roles will provide you with the perfect oppurtunity to experience how a Primary school runs and get that all important experience before you move on to your teacher training.

You will get expert support from the SLT at the school in Newham and will also have the support of a consultant at Protocol who will be on hand to help throughout the duration of your placement.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the lead teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assisting with classroom management and student supervision
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties
  • Preparing and organising educational materials
  • Assessing student performance and providing feedback

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in Education or relevant field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with children and helping them achieve academic success

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant certification
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) students

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Classroom-based role with potential for outdoor activities
  • May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of educational materials
  • Working in schools local to Newham

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
