Are you motivated by helping young people develop positive behaviours that open doors to learning and independence? We are recruiting a Trainee Behaviour Support Assistant for a Durham specialist provision for learners with autism and complex needs.

In this role you will help support pupils to understand routines and expectations with consistency and care. You’ll work within a team committed to respect, inclusivity and student-centred support, helping young people feel safe, understood and ready to engage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support pupils to regulate behaviour and engage positively in school life.
• Encourage pupils to practise social skills and emotional awareness.
• Assist staff to apply consistent behaviour strategies.
• Attend regular training and team meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
