Trainee Behaviour Support Assistant – Education Setting

Location: South Shields
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a Trainee Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

No qualifications are required for this role. Experience through voluntary work, care roles or youth support is strongly welcomed.

You will support pupils who need consistency, patience and positive role models to engage with education.

Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with behavioural needs
• Working 1:1 and in small groups
• Helping pupils manage emotions and behaviour
• Supporting classroom routines
• Building positive relationships

This role is ideal for someone who:
• Has voluntary experience with young people
• Is resilient, calm and emotionally aware
• Is interested in behaviour or SEMH support
• Wants long-term experience in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
