Technology Technician (food and design technology)

Protocol Education is looking to recruit a technology technician to work within one of our partnership schools in the Newcastle area. The role is situated in a large school with on site parking and is very accessible via both buses and the metro line.

This position will require you to support in the following areas food technology, textiles and design.

This is a long term role and for the right candidate may result in a permanent role within the school.

The role:

  • Supporting students in class.
  • Aiding the teacher with the production of the lesson and with practical activities.
  • Placing ordered and managing stock.
  • Ensuring the workspace is safe and hygienic at all times.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • Has or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
  • Is a confident and approachable person.
  • Adapts well in new environments
  • Has positive verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
