Bath £92 - 96 per day + PAYE & £250 for Teacher Referral Part Time Teaching 311022620 Posted 5 months ago
Some children don't need someone to fix everything—they just need someone who won't give up on them.
Protocol Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across BS6 to recruit compassionate, resilient and dedicated SEMH Learning Support Staff who understand that every behaviour has a reason behind it.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEND Practitioner or Intervention Support Worker, this is an opportunity to make a genuine difference to children who need consistency, patience and positive relationships to thrive.
You'll primarily support pupils across Key Stage 1, with occasional opportunities in EYFS and Key Stage 2, working one-to-one or with small groups of children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Many of the pupils you'll support may experience anxiety, attachment difficulties, emotional dysregulation or behaviours that challenge. Your role isn't simply about helping in the classroom—it's about becoming a trusted adult who helps children feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
Some days you'll celebrate huge breakthroughs. Other days, success might simply be helping a child regulate their emotions, join a lesson or finish the school day feeling proud of themselves. Every small step matters.
Working closely with teachers and SEND teams, you'll help create predictable routines, support behaviour plans, use positive de-escalation strategies, and adapt learning so every child has the opportunity to succeed. Whether you're supporting phonics, early maths, emotional check-ins or confidence-building activities, you'll play a key role in helping children reconnect with learning.
At Protocol Education, we know that the right support staff change lives. That's why we take the time to match you with schools that value your skills, appreciate your commitment, and provide environments where both pupils and staff can flourish.
You'll also have a dedicated consultant who understands the rewards and challenges of SEMH support and will be there with advice, regular check-ins and ongoing guidance throughout your placement.
Location: BS6
Pay: £92–£96 per day
