An infant school based in Doncaster is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil in Year 2

The School:

The school provides a rich and varied curriculum that enables each child to grow personally, socially and academically, so that they can approach the challenges of the future with confidence.

The Role:
This role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a Y2 child who struggles with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. You will be working alongside another support staff member and the Teacher. You will be helping with their class work, carrying out pastoral duties and ensuring their mental health is protected. This role would be ideally suited to individuals who have previously worked in Pupil Referral Units (PRU), Outreach programmes, Youth work or worked with young offenders/ students with SEMH due to the nature of the students. Experience with managing challenging behaviours is a must.

What you'll need to succeed:
·You will have a minimum of 1 years' experience supporting pupils with Special and Medical Needs
·You will have a minimum of 1 years' experience working in a primary school
·You will have Key Subject and Curriculum knowledge across either Key Stage 2 (KS2)
·Ideally, trained to NVQ Level
·Team-Teach qualifications and experience would be beneficial (although not essential)
·Strong de-escalation skills
·A sense of fun and the desire to have a positive impact upon the lives of young children.
