About the role
Looking for flexible work where you can make a real difference? Join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant providing day cover across friendly and inclusive schools in Hackney. You’ll be supporting pupils with additional needs to feel calm, confident, and ready to learn — one classroom at a time.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH

Working 1:1 or in small groups to help learners engage and progress

Encouraging independence and emotional wellbeing

Teaming up with teachers and SENCOs to create positive, supportive learning spaces
What we’re looking for

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school or care setting)

A patient, adaptable, and caring attitude

Ability to build strong relationships quickly

Reliability and enthusiasm for supporting learners of all abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
