Teaching Assistant

What the role involves as a Teaching Assistant

You’ll assist pupils across the school day, helping them access learning, understand tasks and stay engaged. You’ll work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a warm, structured environment where pupils feel valued and able to succeed.

Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant

  • Supporting pupils during lessons and small-group activities
  • Encouraging focus, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Assisting the class teacher with resources and classroom routines
  • Helping pupils who need extra guidance or reassurance
  • Contributing to a safe, welcoming classroom atmosphere

What you’ll bring as a Teaching Assistant

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A calm, caring manner
  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Flexibility to support different learners
  • An enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
