What the role looks like as a Teaching Assistant

You’ll assist pupils throughout lessons, help teachers with classroom tasks and create a welcoming, structured atmosphere. You’ll be joining a supportive staff team who value good communication and a positive approach.

Your main duties as a Teaching Assistant

  • Supporting learning across the classroom
  • Helping pupils who need extra encouragement or guidance
  • Assisting with resources, activities and daily routines
  • Building positive relationships with pupils of all abilities
  • Working closely with teachers, SEND staff and other Tas

You’ll be a good match as a Teaching Assistant if you

  • Have experience with children or young people
  • Are patient, encouraging and adaptable
  • Can communicate clearly and supportively
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Hold an enhanced DBS or are willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
