Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Supply

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Enfield. This long-term role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive impact in the classroom every day.

Your Role:

  • Support students during lessons under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils engage with learning

  • Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and resource creation

  • Encourage students’ confidence, independence, and participation

  • Promote positive behaviour and a calm, inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting learning

  • Thrive-trained or willingness to complete free Thrive training through Protocol Education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
