Protocol Education are currently recruiting for teaching assistants to work in a secondary school setting located close to the centre of Sunderland.

The role is a perrested in applications from graduates with an interest in a career in education such as teaching or educational psychology. Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided to support you in this role.
You will be working in the classroom with the wider class, on a 1:1 basis, or in small groups of 6-8 students. You will follow the curriculum and support the development of learners who may require some additional support with their studies, for example children with Autism and ADHD. You will be providing the likes of targeted intervention for key skills such as speech and language, reading and comprehension, literacy and numeracy as well as assisting in creative lessons such as art, music and design technology.
The role:
- Monday to Friday
- Hours typically 8:30-3:30
- Beginning Immediatelty
- Working with children with additional needs such as autism.
- Developing children’s communication skills and social skills.
