Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant – SEND Superstar Needed in Newcastle
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £89–£108 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025

Be the calm in the storm—and the cheerleader every pupil needs

We’re working with a welcoming SEND school in Newcastle that’s all about helping children with profound and complex needs flourish. Think sensory support, individual learning journeys, and a team that truly values every voice.

They’re on the lookout for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant who knows how to bring patience, care, and a bit of quiet magic to the classroom. If you’ve got experience supporting children with additional needs—and a heart as big as your energy—you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups across various age ranges

  • Helping with sensory needs, communication tools, and emotional regulation

  • Assisting with physical care, routines, and creating a predictable, positive space

  • Helping students work towards their EHCP goals—and celebrating every step

What we’re after:

  • A Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent experience—we value all pathways)

  • SEND experience in school, care, or youth settings

  • A calm, caring nature and a can-do mindset

  • Someone who knows progress comes in all shapes and sizes

What you’ll get from us:

  • Weekly pay through PAYE—no umbrella costs or admin headaches

  • FREE CPD including Thrive training (seriously, if you haven’t done it yet—we’ll cover it!)

  • Support from a local SEND consultant who actually listens

  • Opportunities to grow in schools that appreciate every bit of what you bring

If you’re not Thrive-trained yet, we’ve got your back. It’s free, flexible, and makes you even more appealing to schools. Win-win!
