About the role
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping every pupil reach their potential?
We’re looking for a caring, patient, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join one of our fantastic partner schools in Hackney.

You’ll work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same — and every day makes a difference.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs

  • Helping to create a calm, engaging learning environment where every child can thrive

  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour management

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored interventions

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, youth work, or care background)

  • A calm, positive, and resilient attitude

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
