Do you have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs — and the confidence to provide personal care with kindness and respect?

We’re looking for a caring and reliable Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school, supporting pupils with a range of physical and learning needs. The right person will be patient, hands-on, and genuinely committed to helping students thrive both in and out of the classroom.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with physical and complex needs
  • Assisting with personal care, feeding, and mobility (full guidance and PPE provided)
  • Helping to create a safe, calm, and positive learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
  • Encouraging communication, independence, and self-confidence

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in SEND support, Health & Social Care, or childcare settings
  • Confidence providing personal care (toileting, changing, or feeding)
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a caring team
  • A genuine desire to make school a happy and inclusive place for every child

If you’ve supported individuals with physical or complex needs — in education, residential, or care settings — your experience will be highly valued in this role.
