About the role
Protocol Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join one of our inclusive partner schools in Newham on a full-time basis.
This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally. You’ll be joining a supportive school community where every staff member plays a key role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for pupils to succeed.
Key responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning activities and interventions

Support pupils with communication, sensory, and behavioural needs

Help to create a calm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to meet individual needs
About you

Experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or care setting

A patient, positive, and empathetic approach
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting pupil development

A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
