Teaching Assistant – SEND | Halifax

Hours: Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week – perfect for balancing work and family life ‍‍‍

Looking to make a genuine impact every day? We’re searching for passionate Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming specialist school in Halifax, supporting learners with Autism and a range of complex needs

This school is a caring, collaborative community where everyone works together — Teachers, Learning Support Assistants, Communication & Interaction Leads, Family Support Officers and Behaviour Specialists . Every role matters, and every child is given the chance to shine ✨

Class sizes: small and focused (usually 6–9 learners), giving you the space to build real connections.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting teachers to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons

  • Encouraging pupils to participate and achieve their potential

  • Helping to create calm, structured classroom environments

  • Developing practical skills to support SEND learners effectively
