SEN Teaching Assistant – ASC Specialist School

Location: Islington
Pay: £90 to £95 per day
Contract: Day-to-day cover, immediate start

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting autistic pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and routine

  • Using visual aids, clear language, and structured approaches

  • Working alongside teachers, therapists, and behaviour specialists

  • Creating calm, predictable spaces where pupils can learn and feel understood

  • Offering reassurance, patience, and encouragement throughout the day

  • Experience in ASC settings, SEN schools, care, youth work, or similar roles

  • A calm, steady approach when the day doesn’t go to plan

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
