We are supporting a specialist school in the Gateshead area that is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who can join their team straight away. The school provides a calm, nurturing environment for pupils with a range of additional needs, and they are hoping to welcome someone who can offer patience, positivity, and consistent support from day one.
If you enjoy helping children feel settled, confident, and ready to learn, this role could be a great fit. You’ll be working in a friendly team where every small step forward is valued and celebrated. No two days are the same, but you’ll always have guidance and support around you.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting pupils during lessons and individual activities, helping them stay focused and comfortable.

Assisting teachers with adapted tasks that meet each pupil’s learning style and needs.

Encouraging positive routines and offering reassurance throughout the school day.

Working closely with staff to follow agreed strategies and support plans.
