We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming special educational needs (SEN) school in Hackney. You’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting pupils with a range of additional needs — from autism to complex learning difficulties — helping them to feel safe, included, and ready to learn.
If you’re calm under pressure, full of patience, and passionate about helping every child reach their potential, this could be the perfect next step.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND

Helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop independence

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to create supportive routines

Encouraging positive behaviour and celebrating progress (big and small!)
You’ll need:

Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (school or community setting)

A calm, positive approach and strong communication skills

A willingness to learn and adapt — every day is different!
