We’re supporting a fantastic specialist secondary setting that works with pupils who experience social, emotional, and mental health needs. They’re looking for a Teaching Assistant who can build trust, support behaviour positively, and help pupils feel safe enough to learn.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Helping young people re-engage with learning using structure, empathy, and calm routines

Working closely with teachers, behaviour mentors, and pastoral staff

Using de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches

Celebrating small wins and helping pupils build confidence day by day
What the school is looking for

Experience in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provisions is ideal

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
