Teaching Assistant – Secondary Classroom Support

Pay: £83–£95 per day

This role supports pupils aged 11–16, helping them engage with lessons, build independence and feel confident in the classroom. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety and working across different subjects.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting pupils during lessons across the secondary curriculum

Encouraging focus, engagement and positive behaviour

Providing targeted academic and emotional support

Working closely with teachers to adapt learning tasks

Helping pupils prepare for adulthood and next steps

Experience working with secondary-aged pupils

Strong communication and teamwork skills

TA qualification desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
