About the role
Protocol Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Newham on a full-time basis.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys supporting pupils to reach their full potential. You’ll be working alongside skilled teachers to create a positive, engaging learning environment and provide tailored support to help every child succeed.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher with planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils who need additional help

  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning

  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive attitudes

  • Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to meet individual needs

About you

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or childcare setting

  • A patient, caring, and proactive attitude

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine interest in supporting learning and pupil wellbeing

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
