SEN Teaching Assistant – North London

Start date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
Setting: Secondary SEN School

Looking for a role where every day feels genuinely meaningful? We’re working with a fantastic secondary SEN school in North London that’s ready to welcome a calm, caring, and committed Teaching Assistant to their team.

This is a school that truly values support staff. You’ll be helping students with a range of additional needs, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Every day brings something different — one moment you’re encouraging independence, the next you’re helping a young person rediscover their confidence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups to access learning

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the SENCO

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Helping create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs

  • A patient, empathetic nature and great communication skills

  • Reliability, resilience, and a sense of humour (they go a long way!)
