SEN Teaching Assistant

Looking to make a real difference every day?

We’re looking for a compassionate and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 10–16 with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH and attachment difficulties. You’ll help students gain confidence, independence and the skills they need to thrive, both in and out of the classroom

Schools are looking for people to support both of a 1-1 and a whole class basis. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group learning support

  • Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs

  • Encourage engagement, focus and self-esteem

  • Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to support learning plans

  • Help pupils develop key life and social skills

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with young people with SEND (school or care setting)

  • Calm, patient and proactive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine desire to help every child reach their potential
