This school takes SEN support seriously, and it shows.

They’re looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils who need a little extra help to access learning and feel safe in school. You’ll be working either 1:1 or in small groups, depending on the needs of the children, with clear guidance, consistent routines, and a strong SEN structure in place.

You won’t be expected to “just get on with it”. The SENCO and wider team are supportive, approachable, and experienced, and they make sure their support staff feel confident and well-equipped in their roles.

In this role, you’ll be:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs throughout the school day

  • Helping children regulate, communicate, and engage with learning

  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and parents where needed

  • Providing calm, consistent support that makes a real difference

Experience with SEN is helpful, but attitude and empathy matter just as much. If you’re Thrive trained, that’s a real plus. If not, we can support you with free Thrive training to boost your confidence and appeal to schools.
